When you determine
that a mom/baby couplet needs to use a nipple shield, do you have her do any
insurance pumping? If so, when, how often, and for how long? And why?
Jan, yes, after every or at least 4-6 of any shield fdgs/day, pc 5-10
minutes/session, ...frequency and durations depend on variables/situation/mom's
goals, ...Why insurance pumping? for insurance milk; ....this protocol until she
has ample supply and baby gaining well then start backing off on pumping
gradually and see how it goes, ...while working to delete shield also................
