I think one reason manufacturers these days like to avoid actual babies as
logos is that the baby has a particular ethnic look which may not appeal as
widely as a more general picture. Although a bottle is more general and doesn't
attract or repel a particular consumer group's attention ( except when a bottle
repels me...:), as someone mentioned a rattle or alphabet block ( ah but
should the letters be English? :) or obvious child's toy would work as well...
