I sometimes suspect formula manufacturers and others of using the
internet in a dishonest way.
Direct manufacturer-to-mother advertising of formula is not permitted
in the UK.
However, a mother (or someone pretending to be a mother) can
recommend a brand of formula to other mothers on a bulletin board.
I have seen some of the newer 'novelty' formulas mentioned in this
way, usually in response to a mother asking for advice, and my
suspicions are aroused.
Certainly, if I was a manufacturer prevented from pushing my product
to potential customers, I'd try to get my name out to people like
this.
And it's free.
