Baby's saliva triggers mom's immune system? Sorry, that's a legend, although
it would be "nice" if the system worked that way. It doesn't, however.

Mother picks up bacteria and viruses from her environment, including the
baby's body, via her mouth, nose, hands - the usual routes - and her immune
system goes to work making targeted antibodies.

There are lots of reasons why at-breast is better than feeding EBM by
another device. My favorite reason for at-breast is the way the baby sucks,
swallows and breathes at breast is very different from the way they feed
from devices. Besides, MOM wears the breasts which assures the baby gets
enough of MOTHER during feeds.
