Ah I wish that were true. My father had severe and life-threatening heart
problems for years and his cardiologist ( who was morbidly obese himself) never
mentioned much about diet and exercise. He did say "Do as I say, and not as I
do" but that's about as specific as he got. My Dad was finally diagnosed with
Type II Diabetes, and was told to lose weight. He did, and remains
diet-controlled. I wonder if he had been encouraged earlier in life to lose weight if the
Diabetes would have been occuring at all, or later in life ( my grandfather
was Dx'd in his 80s, my Dad was in his 60s...)
