Our state has very little language regarding breastfeeding in public, but it
does say, in the public indecency/indecent exposure section,
"Nudity" or "state of nudity" does not include a mother in the act of
nursing the mother's baby."
(TCA 39-13-511)
This does imply that uncovering a breast to feed a child is normal, not a
big deal, and about as erotic as changing a baby's diaper in public -- which
incidentally, as the law doesn't specify a lower limit to indecent exposure,
I suppose is technically illegal!
