I'm looking for a table that compares milk composition of different mammals from those who suckle infrequently to those who suckle very frequently looking at protein and fat composition particularly (ie the cache and carry comparision). I've got Lozoff's 1977 paper but it only looks at 4 mammals and I know that there are other stats. Anyone got a reference for me?? I'm co presenting at a conference and wanting to express the norm in terms of what babies expect from life (ie close physical contact with mum, responsive care) in order to emphasise how responsive care and close physical contact is what is needed for hurt children post-placement for adoption/fostering (as opposed to normal Western style care)
