I don't know about either *new* or *talent* -- making up words to go
with familiar tunes (only my first-born's lullaby was an original tune,
I'm afraid) and singing in my decidely off-key voice was just my way of
keeping sort of sane. :-) But, after all, I have to translate songs and
poems into rhyme and rhythm, so even if my own writing is not so
sing-song, it's something I'm working on.
And of course you can pass it on, but you should try to actually sing it
(you *do* know the tune to Bicycle Built for Two, don't you?) and
encourage mothers to personalize and adapt -- sing as the baby fits, so
to speak.
I've also learned to upload photos on websites, to design surveys and to
organize festivals in the last three months. I guess with no more
babies, I have to invent new learning curves!
Jo-Anne
