Mary Kay said her materials are already printed. We have used SMOG, but I
tend to prefer the Fleisch-Kincaid readability info available in MS Word
Open up Word and type in a paragraph, or one sentence from each paragraph
in your handout.
Then click on Tools > Spelling & Grammar. The popup window will show the
readability level and the (US?) school grade level for the material you
have typed.
At work, I have an older version, Word 97, & had to go into Preferences or
something like that to turn on t his Spelling & Grammar feature. It has
been very useful to me.
