I wonder if the stopping of nursing at two years has more to do with their
culture and not Muslim which is their religion. I know Muslim women who nursed
well beyond two years. I think we tend to mix the two together (a person's
culture with religion) and think many aspects are part of following a
particular faith, but it is in fact not the case. For instance, the Muslim faith
highly values women, but I think we as westerners believe it is the opposite due to
how some cultures who also happen to follow the Muslim faith treat the women.
Religion may be used as the reason, but truly it is not the way.
