This phrase struck me. It is supposed to mean something as a clinical term
that I don't know about - do NICUs make distinctions between the grief of a
mother whose child is "desired" and somehow know when children are not "desired"?
Does it have to do with a family that knows the baby may die and has never
bonded or is emotionally separating after realizing this, or is it just weird
writing?
Wondering again,
