Dru,

I have no answers for your questions about lactation induction and
endometriosis. I do have a website that your friend might like to check
out, because there are well-researched medical ideas about endometriosis
that are diametrically opposed to what has been traditionally taught in
medical school, which is apparently based on an 1927 theory that seems to
have just been passed down. I think it's important that anyone who has
been given this diagnosis have info about other theories as to causation,
treatment, etc., especially before embarking on such an industrious
undertaking as attempting to induce lactation in hopes it will relieve
the symptoms.

Besides this website in Oregon, I also have an article from the office of
an endometriosis and infertility specialist in Milwaukee who treated a
close relative of mine earlier this year, and whose ideas parallel those
on the website. I could send it if she desires.

<I am posting this morning on behalf of a friend who suffers
from severe endometriosis (with her permission). She is of the
understanding
that pregnancy and lactation can lead to a remission of symptoms and,
given
the unlikelihood of conceiving, she is strongly considering inducing
lactation
. . . . . but she was also interested in what 3000+ lactivists and
l'experts had to say on the subject. I am looking forward to your
contributions.>
.
