I found a couple of the articles on epidurals that I mentioned last
week.

Durham, J Side effects of Epidurals: A summary of research research
data, International Journal of Childbirth Education, 18(3) Sept 2003.

Nommsen-Rivers, Laurie, Examining the effects of labor epidural
analgesia on newborn breastfeeding behaviors, JHL, 19(4) Nov. 2003.

These are both review articles and reference several current studies
and metastudies on this topic. If you can't get the articles, let me
know and I'll send on the references to the studies being reviewed.

I'm still looking for some data on "botched" epidurals; how often they
happen, what happens to "botch" them, what are the outcomes? Anyone
have any info. I imagine that this is important information for
hospitals not to collect, but perhaps someone else has done some
research on it.
