I work in a very large pediatric practice, and have been fighting an uphill
battle for three years to get a lactation program established. I've been
sharing weekly tidbits [FYI], and this past week posted a portion of
Marsha Walker's article about how just one feeding of formula can impact
the gut, and take two to four weeks to return back to normal. Yesterday I
was reprimanded by the owner of the practice, told that he was disheartend
by what I had done. Apparently three of the 20+ physicians complained,
and "they have lost all confidence" in my abilities, and that it was
inappropriate for me to have posted anything without permission[which is
possibly true], but was just trying to share some information. Just wanted
to vent, somewhat tired of pushing the boulder up the hill, and planning to
resign on Monday.
