Karleen, I definitely did not think you were criticising the whole of LLL!
Just wondering where the word came from.
I think that there might be a leader or a group of leaders that have had the
impression somewhere that 1 year might be the top for trying to teach a child
to breastfeed and told so on meetings. I have experienced this with all kinds
of subjects that are important to some individual leaders. What is important
to a person, that's what she talks about. Sometimes a leader can forget that
*everything* she says during a LLL meeting or when wearing her LLL hat or even
just in talking to people who happen to know she is a LLL leader, is heard as
if it is said by LLL I'm sure most of us are aware of that mechanisme.
Sometimes things said as a personal opinion are spread through an organisation and all
of a sudden it seems to be "a LLL statement".
