I had one case in all my years - with a mom who was unable to release ANY
milk - but from only one breast, so she breastfed on the other. We tried
everything I knew to do - there were no visible signs of openings - and not
a single drop out - when she was engorged, after the engorgement subsided,
with hand expression, pump, nipple shield, OR baby.
Surgery and a surgeon was not an option - my clients are mostly
undocumented and very poor women.
