Corrine,
I lent my herbal bood to a doctor two weeks ago, and haven't gotten it
back yet. I do know, however, that anise and licorice root both raise
blood pressure, so she needs to watch out for these herbs in herbal
preps.
The book that I most use is called "The Green Pharmacy", by Davis (I
believe). I was studying natural medicine in a past life, and like this
book, because it is realistic about herbal approaches, and tends to err
on the side of conservatism.
