Thank you Nancy Morhbacher for a thoughtful, important post on research
and our responsibility to critically evaluate all research before we
incorporate it into our practice. A few years back now, a few of us
began a journal club, where we attempted to evaluate research in a small
group, one article a month or so. It was hard to get people to
participate. Maybe it was timing. Maybe it was hard to obtain articles.
I think there was also an element of wanting to pass on the
responsibility of evaluation to others, and of anxiety regarding one's
own ability to critically read research. It's up to us folks.
Happy holidays...to all, and a healthy New Year.
Kathleen
