If these preterm babies can't cope with the oversupply of the breast or the
relatively fast flow of the bottle teat, wouldn't cup feeding return control
to the baby, who laps the milk at it's own rate, whilst coordinating it's
breathing?
This avoids overwhelming the baby with milk & the so called *nipple
confusion* from the over use of bottles.
