My second child was quite a spitter and I was so relieved when she slowed
down after a few months, so it was quite a surprise when out of the blue she
started to heave ho all over again a month later. The only thing different
in my diet was sweet corn that had just come into season and I'd had a few
ears in the past day or so. When I stopped the corn, the spitting
disappeared again. Then another month later it reappeared again! This time
it was tomato season. When I stopped eating tomatoes, the spitting ceased.
I seem to remember that grapefruit juice also gave her the spits. Not so
ironically, these substances and more all came back as allergens on my RASK
test that I'd had a few years before. She's now 5 and a half years old and
a (too) happy and healthy, beautiful girl! And she no longer spits!
