I would guess that the IBLCE is looking for any type of complaint that was formally made regarding one's job performance or ethics. Not the type of complaints that mothers make when they are filling in the complaint form at the hospital. I can understand why they would ask for this information. It would probably tell a lot about someone and their ethics or professionalism. Our profession is not licensed as such so self or peer policing based on ethical and professional standards is all there is to keep out poorly performing IBCLCs.
And I am not speaking of Marsha's situation at all, just in general.
