I went back to the health club when my babies were 4 months old. Is this
woman trying to stay that breastfeeding moms shouldn't be allowed to work out at
the gym. I brought my babies with and used the health club nursery. 95% of
gyms do have nurseries and I haven't found one that was not breastfeeding
friendly. I teach aerobic classes and work at many clubs, they knew to call on me
if my baby needed to nurse.

VOICE OF THE PEOPLE (LETTER)
Mother's privacy

Maywood -- The obvious question to ask the mom who complained about being
asked by management of a health club to breast feed her baby elsewhere is why
would she take her child to a place where people come to work out ("Right to
breastfeed," Voice of the people, Nov. 29)? Dues-playing members do have a right
to resent her imposing on their turf.
The irate mother suggests that the offended people get over it, but the same
suggestion could be made to her.
