Dear Kathy,
I have a mother in my LLL group whose baby was diagnosed with a rare
form of adult leukemia at 2 months of age. The baby has come through
beautifully, although there were many rough patches during treatment. The mother kept
pumping and ended up with 800 ounces of breastmilk in her freezer, but her
baby continued to breastfeed whenever she wasn't too ill to do so, and is now a
happy breastfeeding toddler. This mother is quite willing to serve as a
resource to other mothers who find themselves in the same awful predicament. If
your mom would like to be in contact with the mom in my LLL group, please e-mail
me privately and I will send contact information.
Dee
