I had a call from a midwife who said a baby (a few days old) has lesions in
the mouth and they were wondering could the mother continue to breastfeed.
Everything we could access on breastfeeding and herpes is about not bf if
the mother has lesions on the breast -- presumably not to pass herpes to the
baby. But if this baby has it (tests results not back) is there any way
mother could not have it and bf could be a problem? I would be grateful for
any reply.
