When my son Dan was a toddler, he appeared in a disposable diaper
commercial. He had never worn anything but cloth diapers his whole life, and
he's a redhead with very sensitive skin who couldn't tolerate the
disposables. The people filming the commercials were clearly familiar with
this and had a whole system. Dan wandered around in his usual cloth diaper
until the last minute, then he was undressed, his diaper area coated
generously with cornstarch, the disposable diaper put on and the filming was
done as quickly as possible. They didn't have very much time because even
with the cornstarch he would develop a rash from the diaper in a short
period of time.
So the fact that he didn't and couldn't wear the diaper was not important.
