Progesterones are not galactogogues. However, there are a couple of studies
which show (supposedly-I have not bothered to read them) that progesterones can
enhance milk supply. Having seen a exclusively breastfed infant who was
previously thriving lose a significant amount of weight within 2 weeks of his
mother initiating a progesterone only pill, I believe this to be a false finding.
In addition, many other mothers have also reported a loss in supply after
starting progesterones.
I have written a short article citing references about progesterones and milk
supply loss. I would be happy to forward it to you, if requested. Chris

Has anyone else had any
experience with this med? Why would this progesterone only pill be a
useful galactogogue?
