A new "low" in formula co tactics to reach Canadian moms-to-be - a reality show about pregnant moms, sponsored and titled "Nestle Nine Months". It looks like it started after Christmas - the second episode is airing this week. (We don't have Rogers cable here, so I haven't seen the show).

About the show
The series follows five mothers-to-be during their incredible nine-month journey and focuses on a variety of pregnancy-related topics including Fertility, Choosing a Practitioner, The Emotional Impact of Pregnancy, and Exercise.
Professionals in the field of pregnancy and health care join host Dorothy Downs to provide relevant information on each topic. Interviews include Dr. Michelle Mottola, Director of the Exercise and Pregnancy Lab at the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Renato Natale, an Obstetrician, Kathi Wilson, a Registered Midwife and Dr. Jim Martin, a Reproductive Endocrinologist.
Nestlé supports the series as the title sponsor. Michael Wilson, Vice-President, Infant Nutrition, Nestlé Canada Inc. says, "Sponsorship with Rogers Television has provided us the opportunity to associate Nestlé with an innovative, educational and entertaining program that is a perfect fit for our company. We believe Canadian parents (and parents to be) can only benefit from this type of programming."
Watch the series and then log onto www.ninemonths.ca for a chance to win great prizes; Kushies Gift Certificates, an Allianz registered educational savings plan with a potential future value of $10,000, and a grand prize of a vacation to the new Beaches Boscobel Resort & Golf Club, Jamaica's only all-inclusive family resort.
Me, again.
Luckily, Rogers is a cable supplier/channel - not a major network, so viewership is less than a network program. And it is not nationwide.
And it doesn't go into the post-partum period much (yet????) (The last program is: Show Thirteen: Recovery and Immediate Post-Partum Period
A check in with the mothers and their new babies one-week after the baby is born. First week of a newborn's life: how to help the body to heal after birth. Expert information provided by Alana Johnson, Midwife.)
