Yes, I often see babies/children not in carseats and in VERY unsafe
positions in cars -- sitting or standing in someone's lap in the
front seat, for example, or the baby in a carseat/carrier that is
merely placed in the car, not secured to the seat in any way.
Unsafe practices like these are all too common. I agree that the
media seems to be making way too much of the breastfeeding angle with
this story. The endangerment aspect must be simply too
run-of-the-mill, sigh.
