I found a health new site that announced the appointment of Dr Johnston to President of the AAP.  His stated goals are:
In his new position, he will emphasize the importance of preventive medicine. "We know that many expensive and debilitating adult diseases, like obesity, osteoporosis, some cancers and heart disease, begin in childhood. To increase chances for children to become the healthiest adults they can, I will work to get prevention into the mainstream, not only of medical education, but into American culture," Dr. Johnston said.

Hmmm.  Did he forget already?  He was just placed in his new position in early Nov 2003.
