"Try it yourself. Place an appealing object where they can reach it,
maybe in a "No-no" corner or on an apple juice
table (That's where the coffee table once sat). When they spy it and
make a dive for it, in a calm voice say, "No, don't
touch it."

Let me see, in legal terms isn't that known as "baiting"?
Deliberately tempting someone with a forbidden object in order to be
able to punish them for reaching for it? Give me a break!

Winnie

Oh, no, Winnie. You got it wrong. That's not punishment. That's training. The parents do it with great patience and absolutely no anger. Baby learns to respect the parents and is ultimately happier for it. (Choke!)

Yeah. RIGHT! It's a lesson in how to break a baby's spirit. Their cruelty is beyond words, IMNSHO!! I would think such things as the willow stick would leave red marks or welts. Try it on yourself. A little swat with a willow stick HURTS! LOTS!

I did not find info on that web site re: feeding babies. Is that only in the book previously mentioned?
I also did not find the Pearls mentioned in text on the web site.
