The WHO/UNICEF TOT programe in Lactation Managment has a well-worded
worksheet exploring personal experience and feelings re breastfeeding. (#25
I think) We often use it at the beginning of any training/inservice. It is
for the participants own reflection and is not handed in or shared. It lets
them know that we respect the decisions they made, and the feelings they
have. Some do decide to share. We are in the middle of an 18-hour program
at the moment. One participant was very vocal and defensive about the
choice she made to bottle feed her babies. Now, she is talking about having
another baby just so she can breastfeed!
