If it helps, w/ my last birth, 6 mos ago, baby was tachy with a RR of 70+
and was breastfeeding fine. I, of course, was panicked that it was not TTNB
but GBS! Baby continued to be tachy for months! {start of labor->homebirth
was less than one hour}
At one week check, he was one oz above birth weight and BS clear. He
retracted mildly too.
IMO, this may have been a case of 'Neonatal Paxil Withdrawal Syndrome,' but
in any case, why NOT feed the baby you mentioned??
I, too, think breastmilk aspiration not such a bad thing.
