This is totally anecdotal, but with all of the milk allergies around in
adults and children it might be worth trying. I ached with all of my
pregnancies, sometimes at night so badly that I often thought I might be
coming down with the flu. Also ached with breastfeeding and some joints in
my hands became sore and felt swollen. This was years ago when we were
taught that we had to drink lots of milk if pregnant and breastfeeding. I
don't generally like milk, so quit drinking it until later on in life when I
began to cut out most meats in my diet and thought I needed the protein and
calcium, so increased my milk product intake. I began to feel achey just
like I was pregnant and BF again. I went cold turkey on any and all milk
products and was feeling better in a few weeks. Now I sometimes eat small
amounts without problems but get achey and stiff if I eat a lot. A recent
allergy eval showed sensitivity, but not a strong reaction to cow's milk
protein. You might question mom's milk intake, it is usually larger than a
person thinks. Milk is everywhere.
