In addition to the obvious oversupply possibility, it could be as simple as
baby lying on his back to eat. I've seen 2 babies whose chronic spitting up
was ended just by having the mom roll the baby to face her. The second one
was unable to keep her baby in that position - it just went against the
grain for her - but she found that when she used a Boppy he didn't spit up.
The Boppy caused him to roll into her and kept him there, whether she was
paying attention or not. Boppy - no spit up. No Boppy - spit up.
Pretty clear evidence that he was allergic to being held without a pillow...
