Nikki, I must have missed a post here or there, somewhere. In the U.S., most
women are back to work within 6 weeks, and most illnesses by babies are
contracted after the mother goes back to work, often because of being thrust in day
care. My pediatric group would tell you that there are relatively few
illnesses in the first 6 weeks of life, that most come within the first 6 months to
a year.
I'm a bit puzzled as to what you are referring to. Unless, of course, you
were referring to Lactopia, where a mom is on paid maternity leave for a year....
IN that case, I'd certainly agree with you.
But as I said, I probably missed something....
