I am looking for information on treatment of vitiligo via
immunosuppressive creams (Procrit), etc and its effects/contraindications
on breastfeeding. I have searched the archives, but came up blank. I ask
partly for personal interest as I am currently nursing my 16 mo DD with
vitilog that became active approx 4 yrs ago after the birth of my son and
has gone through various stages of activity and dormancy. Yes, I also
have thyroid disease, thyroid CA 9 yrs ago, total thyroidectomy and on
replacement since, and family history. None of my 3 children show signs
yet, but concerned about their chances of developing this. Wonder if it
would be recommended to NOT begin any treatment until baby weaned? I
would also like to add any/all info on this to my helping resource file
for future use although I am sure not a common question. Any help
appreciated.
