My family and I were also recently at the zoo - St. Louis Zoo. Their new
primate house has a special gorilla exhibit with an interesting fact
display board. Gorillas also nurse for an extended time. Unfortunately,
we didn't see any gorillas (or other primates) nursing at the time of our
visit, but my 22,10,and 8 year olds thought the information on primate
childrearing habits interesting (after some eye-rolling).
