Since the Journal of Human Lactation is read globally, this story would be interesting for all to read. I really think we all would benefit around the world by Esther and Bracha's telling of this story. Not just us on Lactnet. Please think about it.

Not to ask more of you both and I understand this is very hard to tell, but must be told anyway. And people cannot help but learn from your eloquent storytelling of the disaster and the aftermath and the connection that breastfeeding and human milk played in it.

Please consider it Esther and Bracha.

Esther, thank you for forwarding to Lactnet Bracha Toporowitz' letter about
her family who were hurt in so many ways in a terrorist attack. Thanks,
too, for the tissue warning. I think I am most impressed that in the midst
of all this, losing a grandchild and very nearly losing 4 more close family
members, a grandmother is still so much an LC that she manages to describe
so vividly and concisely the clinical course of an extreme case of disturbed
BF.
It sounds as if one of the miracles they have experienced may be a lasting
change in attitude toward breastfeeding in the hospital where the mother was
treated.
"Let us hope that all of humankind will rouse themselves to become better
people, more connected to God and to each other."
I second Bracha's 'amen'.
