At our Womens Health Services staff meeting yesterday, the
supervisor was pointing out that ALL sales reps must check in with
our Materials Management office before going onto any unit and must
wear the hospital visitor badge at all times. Apparantly some
equipment reps have been reluctant to follow these rules. I took
the opportunity to refer to the fact that part of their sales
manuals tells the reps they should cultivate the nurses as they are
their prime allies/sales associates. The supervisor agreed, but
then went on to say that, "They are really nice people", and we
have to be nice because, "they give us so much." Oh well, I tried.

Winnie
