I think this is an extremely important topic, so I hope no one minds keeping it going.  I know that there are many women who take the risk of cutting their  breastfeeding experience short, by trying to use bottles whenever they cannot nurse in private, or decide not to nurse at all, because of their discomfort with the idea of nursing in front of anyone.
