In response to recent postings by Barb and Naomi...

Baby Friendly USA's web site (www.babyfriendlyusa.org) contains a listing of
Baby Friendly hospitals in the US. The site also contains contact information
and I have found from experience that the organization is quick to respond to
emails ([log in to unmask]). A Yahoo search for "Baby Friendly" also
produced a ton of other web sites, many of which contained listings of Baby
Friendly hospitals and information on the Baby Friendly initiative.

The only information that was specific re: Baby Friendly hospitals in Canada
that I could find was gleaned from the same Yahoo search which I proceeded to
restrict to Canadian web sites. I came up with an article about Canada's first
Baby Friendly hospital (http://www.life.ca/nl/69/baby.html) as well as a link
to a Breastfeeding Committee for Canada document re: the Baby Friendly
initiative (http://www.breastfeedingcanada.ca/webdoc3.html). The BCC web site
also contains a PDF of their document "The Baby-Friendly™ Initiative in
Community Health Services: A Canadian Implementation Guide"

Finally, the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (www.hmbana.org)
may have additional information re: the role of donated breastmilk in the Baby
Friendly initiative.

Hope this helps!
