Dear Anne and All,
Despite my best efforts to portray this story as "the formula indusrty
finally publicly outing themselves with their insidious ways" to the
reporter who chose to write the article, she ended up writing a more
formula indusrty-favoring story.
I sent her lots of info, links and contacts, and made it clear in my
emails to her that basically, the F industy is compromising the health of
our nation. In fact, in my initial email I stated that I had
an "explosive" story to share. Her response: "I would hardly call this
story 'explosive' but I would like to do a story."
So, once everything's in the hands of the storytellers, there's not much
we can do. It depends on who you get to write the story, I guess. Out of
the 6 health/science/child development reporters I contacted from the
Inquirer, Marie was the only one to respond. There may have been a better
angle told by a different writer.
Oh well, at least the story is getting attention.
Megan
