I have worked with a few moms with little to know milk with retained placenta
until after the d and c.  A few months back I was called to bring a pump to a
mom admitted 3 weeks post partum for a d and c for retained placenta and
hemorrhage.    She had no problem with her milk supply and pumped two bottles full
after the surgery.  The baby was thriving.  Who can figure?
