How about nursing "comfortably" in public? And then we proceed to teach the
mom how she can be comfortable about nursing in public, if it means wearing a
huge shawl or just pulling up her shirt a bit -- or to satisfy my son --
whipping it all out.
I think the point is to teach the mom how SHE can be comfortable nursing in
public; we aren't there to teach her how to make the rest of the world
comfortable with her nursing in public. Some people aren't comfortable with
breastfeeding, period -- even if the mother is shrouded in a burka or sitting in a
yurt. So let's aspire to make moms comfortable nursing whereever they choose to
nurse.
And give those moms that are doing it whereever a big thumbs up!
