I am looking for information on this. I was sure I had heard before,
somewhere, that some kids will up the frequency of nursing if their
mom is about to get her periods back, because of a change in milk
flavour, in order to ward it off for longer (just as, I assume, some
will perhaps not want to nurse as much just around then, also due to
milk flavour changes).
I am writing a column for our quarterly newsletter that goes out to
all our Allaitement Québec members and it has to do with toddlers
mainly, but I wanted to incorporate a bit of things to do with nursing
and pregnancy, nursing and fertility return, etc.
I've looked in the archives under "return of menses" "milk flavo(u)r
changes" and looked up the BAB (slight help there) as well as Jack
Newman/Teresa Pitman's book, Kathy Dettwyler's book...does anyone have
a quick reference for me or is this just my imagination that I thought
I heard of this (in which case I guess I'll have to think of a
different subject for this upcoming quarter...)?
Thanks in advance,
Fio
ressource person with Allaitement Québec
Mama to Sandrine, almost 3.5, and Nyssa, 8.5 mos, tandem nursing.
