i have had three clients who described this same phenomenon.  i assumed it
was an effect of oxytocin, or some other hormonal effect i didn't
understand.  At the LLLI conference, though, Kitty Franz did a session
called "what about these breasts."  She shared information about a case
where a mom had supernumary nipples all the way down the nipple line -
including in the labia!  This particular mom actually had a lactating
"breast" in the her labia - engorgement and the works.  So this might be a
possibility too . ..as who knows if anyone has examined her labia for breasts!

But as I said, several moms I know have experienced labial pain with
breastfeeding - i have never heard about postural differences though
(sitting, laying, etc.).
