Remember the story that Pat Gima told us about several months ago--a
family she had helped had a daughter that had health problems that were
life-threatening, she could only tolerate breastmilk, and when the mother
could no longer provide enough milk, they obtained donor milk from the
Denver Milk Bank, the child passed away at age 4 and the family has a
large bill for the donor milk.

Well I have to brag a little. It may take us a while to get things
moving, but our state LC association voted yesterday to donate $1000 to
the Milk Bank to go toward the family's bill. Any other state want to
join us? How better to support the use of breastmilk!

Warmly,
Pat Bucknell
