Yes, I know the story - Pat & Peggy Loyd were good friends of ours back in
the 70's, and Peggy was my first LLL Leader. Pat modified a hand-help vacuum
pump - possibly the same one Carol described - to create the Loyd-B breast
pump. The first model used baby food jars as the collection containers.
There was a brief thread about this on Lactnet some years ago. I tried
unsuccessfully to re-establish contact with Pat and Peggy. Their company is
or was called Lopuco.
