Germaine,
At a previous LCAGW mtg this was the topic, our speaker was quite Bf
knowlegable and was using meds that many others were not, would not use, while
following her pts and their babies carefully. She would be a good resource for your
project: Wendy Hookman, MD, a psychiatrist and director of the Women's Mood
Disorder Clinic at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Hookman graduated from the
Medical College of VA in Richmond and completed her residency at Beth Israel
Hospital in New York City. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of OB/GYN
and Psychiatry at Georgetown University and, in addition to heading up the Mood
Disorder Clinic, maintains a private practice in DC & Rockville, MD
specializing in women's mood disorders, particularly during the childbearing years.
