Dear colleagues:
I'm preparing for my first conference presentation on sunlight deficiency,
"vitamin D", and breastfeeding. My goal is to present information that will
help IBCLCs, other health care providers, La Leche League Leaders, WIC peer
counselors, etc. help mothers make more informed decisions regarding
vitamin D supplementation of breastfed infants. I am focusing on vitamin D
deficiency resulting from sunlight deficiency, not from underlying organic
causes. If any of you have time and are already familiar with my
publications in this area (see http://home.comcast.net/~ammawell), I would
appreciate your input on what you think IBCLCs and other health care
providers would most benefit from knowing. There just isn't time in an
hour-and-a-half long presentation to include every piece of information in
this complex and controversial topic--so prioritizing is a must.
Since I'm still nomail, please reply privately if you want to be sure that
I see your reply.
Thank you very much,
Cynthia
